Reports in the press recently have seen families having to face a fine because they are taking their children out of school in term time to go on holiday.

School Holidays

Depends on where you live and which school you go to, but as a guide please see below.

February half term normally one week towards the end of the month

Easter Holidays Around the 22nd March 2013 for 2 weeks 2013. This can change year on year.

At The Start of May and at the end of May there are two bank holidays both on a Monday.

At the end of May maybe different in Scotland there is a week’s half term.

The summer holidays are different in Scotland they can start in mid June in the UK it is normally in the middle to the end of July.

The October half term starts dependent on where you live and what school your children go to in mid October in Scotland but in England it is normally the end of October.

Christmas holidays start from around the 18th of December and normally last two weeks.

Please note not all schools are the same so our advice would be to check with your school.
